Papal Palace  Papal Palace
 Papal Palace of Avignon, is one of the greatest and important medieval gotic buildings in Europe.
 The Papal Palace was at the same time papal residence, place of cult, fortress and operations headquarters.
 The palace came constructed between the 1335 and 1364 on a natural full of rocks outcrop to the extremity north-oriental of the city, dominant the Rodano river. The situated one was occupied previously from the old episcopal palace of the bishops of Avignon. The palace came constructed in two is made main, with two distinguished segments, notices like the Palais Vieux (Old Palace) and the Palais Neuf (New Palace).  The abbey of Saint-Ruf
 The abbey of Saint-Ruf was founded outside walls to them in age carolingia on a building of more ancient cult and was reconstructed in the 1139 from the canonical ones of the cathedral. The ruins of the Romanesque church, the second half of XII the century remain.

 Bridge of Saint-BénezetBridge of Saint-Bénezet

 Palace of the Monnaies

 Palace of Villeneuve-Martignan
 The palace of Villeneuve-Martignan, constructed between 1741 and the 1753 from architect Jean-Baptiste Franque, accommodates the Museum Calvet (Musée Calvet currently), with collections of paintings and sculptures from the XV to XX the century.
